A credit report contains a history of your credit. It lists the companies with which you've had credit (i.e., credit card companies, department stores, banks, etc.), your credit limit, how much of your credit limit you are using, late or missed payments, etc. Your credit report is different from your credit score, which is a number between 0 an 800, with 800 being the best.
Direct Mortgage will provide you a free credit report. When you receive it, please check to make sure it is accurate. If you find a mistake, write the credit reporting company that issued the report and explain the situation. Be sure to include proof or evidence of your statement. You may also ask that an explanation of an item be included in your record.
