Fannie Mae (FNMA)
Fannie Mae is the common name of the Federal National Mortgage Association.
It
is a government sponsored enterprise (GSE) that buys loans on the secondary market and plays a significant role in determining the qualifications that have to be met in order for a loan to be approved.
Its sister company is Freddie Mac.
